As a Project Consultant, you will be part of a team of typically 6–7 members. Teams are assigned a not-for-profit organisation and are responsible for helping the organisation solve business issues, including marketing, fundraising strategies, improving operational efficiency and increasing their social impact.

Our Consultants are expected to:

• Attend all 180DC events and training sessions;

• Attend weekly team meetings and contribute to discussions;

• Complete weekly individual tasks that are assigned by the Team Leaders to meet the expectations of the client;

• Participate in deconstructing the problem the client is facing, research necessary information, form solutions and present their findings to the client;

• Meet with the client and industry mentor on a few occasions;

• Actively contribute to producing one or more deliverables such as consulting reports and/or presentations for the client.

Each team has two Team Leaders, supporting each other in leading and empowering their team to foster a cohesive team dynamic. They will share the role of managing relations with the client, lead the strategic direction of the project and be deeply involved in the consulting process of their team.

Our Team Leaders are expected to:

• Conduct research to obtain a sufficient understanding of the project;

• Communicate to team members a cohesive plan for the semester;

• Lead their team through the consulting process by actively participating in the project work and ensuring all deliverables are completed as scheduled;

• Manage meetings and motivate team members;

• Perform quality control, and compile deliverables, typically in the form of a final report and team presentation to the client;

• Attend all 180DC events and training sessions;

• Manage all relations, communications, and meetings with their client;

• Provide regular updates on the progress of their projects to the designated member of the Executive Team;

• Provide support and contribute to the professional development of Project Consultants.
